I was going to post this one on the fifth installment of Nifty-Thrifty, but I think I’ll switch the posts, and instead do my last post of “favorite finds” tomorrow! So instead, in keeping with the usual “Inspiration Friday” linkage, I’ve gathered a bunch of links on thrifting and recycling those finds–I hope you’ll all enjoy!!
♥ Amanda’s fantastic list of thrifting tips!
♥ national directory of thrift stores (great especially for finding places when you’re travelling!)
♥ Lorimarsha makes some really swanky refashioned clothes
♥ painfully hip’s “thrift stars” category–quite inspiring
♥ Tricia is the Queen of Thrifting (in my humble opinion! hehe!)
♥ a wardrobe “thrift-along”! [ via ]
Know of any good thrifty-links? Please share!

You are so right about the treasure hunting aspect of thrifting. When I left school I wanted to be an archaeologist – then I found my true calling; a Treasure Hunting Thrifter! Many years on, I now use my ever growing collection to create new treasures.
Thanks for the look at some of your delightful collection.

Whenever I thrift, I’m on the lookout for porcelain Japanese figurines from the seventies… like deer, rabbits, bulldogs, whatever with the giant eyes or also a lot of the time, sleeping. My favorite is the statues that feature a “mother” giraffe with two “baby” ones that are connected to eachother with leashes (sounds weird but there are quite a few of these out there)!
